Is there life after death? An age old question, pondered throughout human history. It makes a difference to many people whether our soul/consciousness/energy essence continues on another journey or just ends when our physical body dies.
Scientists are learning more about energy. Energy is difficult to extinguish as it will usually change form rather than just "die". Perhaps this is also true of our own energy essence. Today, more and more people are questioning whether there is a life after death. In the media we now have programs, both factual and fictional, depicting Mediums who can contact our departed loved ones and bring messages of hope and inspiration. There are also many books, some providing anecdotal evidence of life after death (read "After-Death Communication" by Emma Heathcote-James and "Journey of Souls" by Michael Newton, PH.D.), some of them written from a more scientific standpoint, whereby Mediums are tested in laboratories with persuasive evidence being found (try reading "The Afterlife Experiments" and "The Truth about Medium" by Gary E. Schwartz, PH.D.). The evidence seems to be growing almost daily that our consciousness survives the physical death.
If we find that our consciousness does in fact survive, and that there is a life after death, does that not bring comfort knowing our loved ones are not then lost to us forever? Copyright 2007 Our Departed Memorials. |
